A WINTER ROSE comes to VOD
After a triumphant Sold Out World Premiere at Hollywood's Chinese Theater, A WINTER ROSE was released theatrically in an exclusive limited engagement with Regal Cinemas. Now the music driven indie triumph comes to Video on Demand.
Starting with a tiny budget of 10 Thousand dollars, film maker Riz Story began production of A WINTER ROSE. Soon he would attract some of Hollywoods most respected actors, like Paul Sorvino, Billy Zane, Theresa Russell and Taryn Manning.
"It was the script," said Paul Sorvino when interviewed at the world premiere, when asked why he appeared in the small indie project after starring in such films as 'Goodfellas'... "It had heart. I couldn't pass it up."
But it was to be the unknown, the newcomer, just as in the film itself, who has been dazzling audiences with her gripping performance, both vocally and theatrically.
And her name is Kimberly Whalen.
In her debut as a leading lady in a theatrical feature, Kimberly Whalen pierces the hearts of audiences as they witness her struggle to overcome her demons. Letters flooded in to the Official Website asking if Kimberly Whalen had performed her own vocals in the film. And then her debut single dropped and climbed to #3 on BILLBOARDS Hot Singles Chart.
The hit single 'Blue' is just one of 6 songs to make the Top Ten of the BILLBOARD Hot Singles Chart. Each of the songs on the soundtrack is an original performed by new artists that are featured in the film.
