Riz Story was called "A true Renaissance man" by Billboard Magazine in reference to his wide array of talents, including musician, composer, record producer, writer, film maker, actor, and artist. In completing A WINTER ROSE, Story has credits in every major department including producing, directing, cinematography, writing, scoring, editing, sound design and mix - Story is also the Maestro behind the music of A WINTER ROSE, which has placed 6 songs in the BILLBOARD Hot Singles Chart, including a #1 and a #2.

After forming the experimental progressive rock band "Anyone" along with Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters, Alanis Morrisette) and Jon Davison (Yes, Sky Cries Mary) Story began to develop the sound, which would later become known as "Maximum Acid".  After several years in the underground alternative scene of Huntington Beach, California 'Anyone' emerged as a major force, winning Best Band honors at the 1999 Los Angeles Music Awards. The early Anyone sound is captured on the rare live recording "Live Acid", which caught the attention of the several labels, including  rock band, Korn's Elementary label. The band signed to RoadRunner Records in 2000 and recorded their major label debut, which was co-produced by Story and Rick Parasher (Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Nickelback etc.).

Anyone received very favorable reviews for its label debut album, notably being named best new band by Kerrang! Magazine and Metal Hammer Magazine. Several European tours followed including highly regarded appearances at The Redding festival, The Leeds Festival, The Pookelpop festival, and the Lowlands festival. The bombastic live show caught Europe by surprise and the subsequent press coverage reflected the bands standout live performances. Metal Hammer Magazine called the band’s show at Redding "The highlight of the festival".

Story began his film directorial career with the psychedelic montage of "TogethermenT". Part documentary, part art film, part music; "TogethermenT" explores issues pertinent to today's society through interviews with many Orange County luminaries (Korn, Social Distortion, Foo Fighters, Orgy, Lit, etc). His debut film "Goloka," which Story considers a student film, debuted on July 31st, 2003 at the Dances with Films film festival in Santa Monica, CA. Also featuring Story's music. Goloka has played at various other film festivals and was noted for it highly experimental poetic quality - Entertainment Today magazine proclaimed that, "Gorgeous shots abound, and the score is an unexpected treat".

As a writer, Story has completed several volumes of poetry including a collection entitled Love Letters to Humanity. In addition he has penned many screenplays including Sip The Pleasure of Days", which he co-wrote with noted screenwriter Steven De Souza.
